Nah, at least ark on Kubuntu has always (by my value of "always") opened epubs as if they are zip files. KDE on Debian Sid as well, IIRC -- but that's been long ago: at the turn of the century.

We just had a report on Sigil's Github issue-tracker about ark not being able to open a Sigil-created epub (worked fine if it was renamed to zip). Maybe it's a particular version of ark that's afflicted. *shrug*

Hi

Better late than never.

Sigil-git 9.5. (coming from Aur repo) has been compiled and now replaces my previous Arch 9.5. version of Sigil. Following the advices I read on screen, I also installed some "optional" dependencies, required for some plugins: python-regex, python-cssselect, python-html5lib, python-cssutils

Now "test-plugin" is 100% successful and installation of any plugin is a breeze.
