CES pre-announcement from Jinke
Jinke / Hanlin has announced new devices to be debuted at CES next week. I have built wiki pages for them Hanlin A6 series and the Hanlin A9 series. Note that these devices use a SiPix display.

A couple of 6" and 9" devices, perhaps more.

I wouldn't read too much into it. Remember this announcement of the 9.7" "Hanlin V9" in January 2008 (no, that's not a misprint). Anyone seen a V9 around yet?

They went from the 505 look to the Kindle look.

I remember but I believe they have learned from this. It was not totally their fault and all the other vendors got caught when PVI withdrew the 9.7" stuff and still hasn't delivered on the new promised plastic backing screen. I don't think we would have wanted a 9.7" with glass backing although Kindle seems to manage it. I'll report more when I see the units at CES.
