Yep. I self-published a small book through Kindle Direct Publishing and chose to DRM it. Didn't see the point. Plus all that stuff fjtorres said.

In the time it takes to load your eBook into Calibre, the DRM is gone. Bad idea to have included DRM. The people who would put your eBook up on the net for others to get for free have no problem stripping the DRM. All you are doing is penalizing your honest customers who do not know how to strip the DRM.
