How can you stand to read Fiction Book?
How can anyone be so naive to be able to read a fiction book? I don't get it! Please explain. It's even worse than watching a fiction movie or tv show. Lets get real and maybe we wouldn't have so many deadly real life shootings!!

Facepalm performed by Paris, legendary* hero of the Trojan wars.
* "Legendary," as in mythology ... fiction. Last edited by cromag; 12-18-2012 at 11:38 PM. |

Your imagination will go awry with fiction. Our nature is so designed that we subconsciously tend to take things even ineffable easily and likeably and we become stupid if we try to fictionalize our lives too

So because some people can't deal with fiction then it should be banned... don't forget to lose the TV and cinema as well... and food should be banned because some people can't stop eating and become obese... and bring back prohibition because some people abuse drink, not forgetting money as it induces people to try and accumulate vast amounts at others' expense... in fact ban everything as someone will abuse it or use it as an excuse for their actions...
And shouldn't the OP abandon MR Forums as so much of it relates to fiction... |

If I had the responsibility of choosing reading material for the types of minds that could be triggered by fiction, I'd feed them fiction anyway.
Murder mysteries, horror, space opera, westerns and love stories seem a lot safer than tactical manuals, Guns & Ammo, Newsweek, Time, Life, etc. |
