can't read .acsm extension book

I brought a book from Obreey Store. It has a .acsm extension that when I try to read it, I get prompted for

Activation
Adobe ID:

Password:

Where do I get the Adobe ID and why do I need it? Is there another format that I can download that I can just read it will what came with the Pocketbook IQ 701 without using Adobe?

The acsm isn't the book itself. It's just sort of a download instruction. When opening the acsm the actual book will be downloaded.
You need your Adobe ID to "unlock" the download.
You register with Adobe to get the ID
