I normally get things like that right off. I must be slipping. then again I suppose maybe I was over-identifying with the warrior girl

ok so after reading some comments i thought maybe i missed some things but no i realize they were in the latest episode. watched it last night. i do have to say even after reading the comments i was quite shocked at 'boob' scene, the boy is kinda crazy i think. the prison cell they tossed ty in was awesome, i'd poop myself if i was in there. as for the ending i really connected with ned and his defiance of the king and how he was going to walk out proud only for (i forget his name - yes i'm that bad - the lannister ) to show up and say he's going to take ned for his brother and to capture him alive.
and the spear through the thigh, ouch...one thing though i know he was just sending a message but how come he never ended up taking ned alive with him to swap for his brother?? meh, it was pretty awesome. hope to catch both eps this weekend. oh and the dragon skull was pretty awesome too, how big it was...very exciting. |

I'm about halfway through the book, and the series has caught up with me; so I think I'll wait for the DVD set/reruns to watch it.
Last nigh Susie wanted to visit the new Lowe's hardware store that just opened in Honolulu ($160 USD worth!), so I didnt have a chance to read. Grrrrrr! Doesn't she realize? |

New respect for Peter Dinklage as an actor. . .
I think he has stolen every scene he has been in. There aren't many really good roles for little people in the movies, and not many action roles, so I bet the competition was really fierce. The only negative I can think of is he may be too good looking for the role. I envisioned The Imp as uglier and less well proportioned. But when "The Imp" is on the screen, I forget all that.
This guy is really that good. . . |

This is probably a truism, comparing a book to a video, but I got the feeling that the story was more shocking on film. Admittedly I haven't read it through for a few years and it was always an adult read; I knew what was about to happen beforehand but watching it happen is appalling.
Last night the Hand's men were killed all around him and all around him were the smug faces of the people that betrayed him. Barristan was the only one who had the grace to be confounded by it. What happened to their society to bring them to such a state? What could anyone do in a world like that? Were Stark and his people dead the day they left Winterfell? I guess I'd better re-read A Clash of Kings. |

Well, I'm having trouble finding out from my family what happens on any given episode. I don't have HBO so my nephew is supposedly keeping me updated. Kind of like this:
"Wow, you should have seen it last night. It opened with like 3 minutes of uninterrupted lesbian porn!" (Of course, when I tried to guess who the participants were I was wrong on all counts. Cersei and that lady-in waiting? No, that was in a later book. Daenerys and one of her handmaidens? No. Apparently it was a couple of slave girls in a room with Littlefinger.) That's the kind of updates I'm getting. |

I don't either. I think it was just a way for them to do an infodump and get in a little nudity and stuff for those that expect it in an HBO production.

just finished watching the latest 2 episodes (6 , 7) and as soon as 7 ended i said "WHAAAAT". I have not read the books so to me it was completely shocking, i for sure thought that joffrey and the queen would be locked up but then again with all of the back stabbing and sinister plots going on in the show i should have suspected something was up. the last episode ended awesome and i'm super excited to continue watching.
i did feel bad for john snow when he became a steward and i do feel bad ned stark ( is it ned or ed?) it's a show that gives the "evil" people so much power and makes you root against them that much more. i think that's all for now, nothing too in depth just some thoughts. |

I just finished "Clash of Kings" and downloaded "A Storm of Swords". For such a slow starter, I sure managed to get hooked.
When do the DVDs come out? |

^ Big mistake my friend
Things are just starting to get interesting on the show. A masterful job overall by HBO and everyone involved. Best thing I have seen on TV in eons. Trust me...if the finale and season 2 adaptations are consistent with the books [as they pretty much have been so far with book 1], you don't wanna miss it. Book 2 is called "A Storm of Swords" - there ain't gonna be a lot of dead space to fill... FWIW... |
