I'd like to suggest that the Configure Metadata download window remember its last size.

So a tags:false in an individual plugin will mean that no tags are downloaded from that plugin, but tags will still be downloaded from other plugins, unless you also set tags:false at the global level. Just found the Tags preferences in both Global and per Plugin are not sticking. I have set mine to just download 3 of the selections, clicked Apply. I can go back in and out a few times to the selection panel and can see them suddenly change without my doing anything else.

It came to my attention as I had deselected tags from both global and the plugins, but suddenly they were selected again

And even if the plugin were to go into Calibre I think it would need a lot of cleanup - I'm not exactly an expert python programmer

I accidentally deleted the original Tweak in my Calibre setup when I added the new tweak described above.

Can anyone post it here for me? It was about something "=true".....

I think JBLyth was after the "other" tweak values that they deleted. That would be these two:

bool_custom_columns_are_tristate = 'yes'
grouped_search_terms = {}

Hmm I cannot reproduce this. Please keep any eye out and see if you can spot what causes the preference to rest to default.

I suggest that the popup should include the original option, author -> author sort, in addition to the new one, author sort -> author. Otherwise if I am a bit slow and get the popup, I must click somewhere else to get rid of it then click on the button, instead of just choosing the right operation.

Yeah, I understand........it's no big deal and Calibre is pretty awesome even without this plugin.
