It is tested on 903. Did anyone try it on non-touch screen? How does the "contrast enhancement" work?

Thanks, paola, for this find.

As the first point of this modified pdfviewer is margin cropping: according to some posts in the German part (for instance here:

https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...3&postcount=24)

beta testers are now testing a 2.2.1 firmware that seems to be able to crop margins with pdfviewer and with AdobeReader. And we will be able to change fonts, size, margins, line height and such things in epubs in AdobeReader. These reports sound very good!

I am travelling and could only try it on the (old) PB360 where, unsurprisingly, it does not work.

Yes, this would be very good - good news they are already in the testing stage, being able to control crop and gray levels (I think this is also something they said the new firmware should do on PDF files)

Does not work for me, on PB 912.

apdfviewer is in system/bin, and I created an extensions.cfg file which I did not have before, and I put in it the right line for pdf files.
The apdfviewer does show up when long-clicking on PDF file. Then it opens : I see the first page (which generally is the cover of the pdf book), neither resized nor centered (it sticks to the top left corner, with the original dimensions of that first page).
But then I cannot make a move to other pages : stylus click does nothing, and buttons do not respond, except for the home button which takes me back to the main screen.

Last edited by Cruzverde; 02-12-2012 at 08:57 AM. Reason: Confirmation of the resize of the displayed first page.

Actually the current pdfviewer shows the center of the text - I can't remember if it did before. Under the latest official firmware, if I zoom in, the screen will always show the main text - which means when the left and right margins are not even or there is some logo on one side, the pdfviewer will focus the the main body of the text. It is cool.

In the russian thread, they said it is in a very early stage. We'll have to wait.
