Page Break Doesn't support iPad?

Guys,

I have used page break in the my ePub. It's not working in my iPad. Do you have any solution to fix this issue? It's working well in Adobe Digital Edition.

e.g.,
style="page-break-before:always;"

Many thanks
Bala

What program are you using to view this ePub?

And one solution is to split the flow into multiple flows that split where you want the page break to occur.

This part of Liz's blog:

If you set the display property for a div to be inline-block, iBooks will display the contents of the entire div together on a single page, skipping to a new page if necessary, unless the entire div can't fit on a page by itself, in which case it will be divided across pages.
should force a "page break before", shouldn't it? (haven't tried it yet). I'm just following her "header" example, and how she got it to start a new page by linking it to the paragraph below it.

But if you want that header to start on a new page without creating another flow, then the example given in the blog post won't always work. If the space left at the bottom of the preceding screen has enough room, then the header and first paragraph will fit and not be on a new screen. A page break causes what's after the break to be on the next screen regardless of what room is left on the proceeding screen. If iBooks does not support the page breaks, just split the XML into multiple flows as needed and you will have the effect of a page break.

So, there isn't solution for page breaks by using "page-break-before: always;"? Only way to have page break before every chapter is to have each chapter in different file, right?

Make sure your div calls a class that has the style in the css. Your first post had

If you only want page breaks at the end of chapters then I would suggest splitting them into separate files.

It's better to be safe and use div's for those sorts of things, I don't like to style p tags it doesn't feel right.

Also there is an issue with microsoft rendering http://support.microsoft.com/kb/274554
