how is the modularity of the two devices?
which one is supposed to last longer - such as replaceable batterys, screens, repairs easy made??

So far the Elipsa seems to be the easier device to open. OTOH, while replacing the battery might be doable—if you can find a replacement battery, replacing screens and other repairs are generally not easily doable. Like most devices these days, repairable is not high on the list of design goals if it is even on the list.
