Dumb Question about eReader

I have downloaded and installed the eReader software from B & N. If I buy a book in eReader format somewhere else, can I still unlock it and read it in the B & N software, or do I need the software from the site from which I bought the book?

I have been using eReader since 2004 (when it was called "Palm Digital Media"). I have purchased eReader format books from eReader.com, Fictionwise.com, BooksOnBoard.com, and SimonSays.com. They all work on my eReader program.

So unless the B&N program is only for the new ePub formatted eReader books (which I think we would have heard about), you should be able to read any eReader formatted books on it.
