Dieses Plugin verwendet die Science Fiction-Leihbuch-Datenbank (http://www.sf-leihbuch.de/) als Metadatenquelle. Es lädt Metadaten und Cover herunter.
Von 1948 bis 1979 gab es in Westdeutschland zahlreiche Leihbuchverlage, deren Bücher in speziellen Leihbüchereien geführt wurden. Das Angebot bestand aus Western-, Abenteuer-, Kriminal- und Liebesromanen, aber auch Science-Fiction-Romanen (obwohl der Begriff noch nicht durchgängig verwendet wurde).

Dieses Plugin unterstützt das Abrufen von Titeln, Autoren, Tags, Veröffentlichungsdatum, Verlag, Kommentaren, Serien, Serienindex und Cover.
Titel, Autoren, Veröffentlichungsdatum, Herausgeber, Serie, Serienindex und Cover werden in den entsprechenden Metadatenfeldern von Calibre gespeichert.
Die übrigen Informationen teilweise als Schlagwörter (Tags) und/oder im Kommentar.

Da die meisten Bücher in der SF-Leihbuch DB keine ISBN haben, definiert das Plugin eine "SFLDB-ID", die dem Primärschlüssel der Buchtabelle entspricht.
Im Gegensatz zur "Internet Speculative Fiction Database" (http://www.isfdb.org/) wird nicht zwischen Titel und Publikation unterschieden.

Am Ende des Kommentarfelds werden Zeilen mit Links zur SF-Leihbuch-Website eingefügt.

Die Suche nach Metadaten erfolgt in zwei Schritten:
1. Das Plugin überprüft das Feld IDs auf eine SFLDB-ID und wechselt, falls vorhanden, zur zugehörigen Buchseite, um Metadaten abzugreifen.
2. Wenn keine SFLDB-ID angegeben ist, sucht das Plugin mit den im Titelfeld vorhandenen Token als Schlagwort in der Datenbank (Titel oder Klappentext).

Das Feld Autor wird z. Z. nicht genutzt. Da die Datenbank überschaubar ist (etwa 1.500 Bücher), ergibt eine Suche mit (Teil-)Titel nicht zu viele Treffer.
Hinweis: Die Oberfläche der SF-Leihbuch DB erlaubt auch die Suche nach Verlag, Jahr, Serie, Übersetzer und Grafiker. Da Calibre als Suchbegriffe nur Titel und Autor bereitstellt, werden diese Suchen durch das Plugin nicht unterstützt. Bei Bedarf könnte eine Schlüsselwort-gesteuerte Suche im Titelfeld (etwa: "Jahr:1958") implementiert werden.

Einschränkungen:
--------------------
- Es wird nur das Jahr der Veröffentlichung durch die Datenbank bereitgestellt. Das Veröffentlichungsdatum wird daher auf den 1. Januar dieses Jahres festgelegt.
- Da ein Metadaten-Plugin keine benutzerdefinierten Felder füllen kann, werden Kandidaten für diese Felder zeilenweise im Kommentar gespeichert (z. B. "translator: Walter Ernsting").
- Wenn ein Buch mehr als ein Titelbild enthält, wird beim Massen-Download das erste ausgewählt. Dies sollte das Original-Cover sein.

This plugin uses the science fiction loan book database (http://www.sf-leihbuch.de/) as a metadata source. It downloads metadata and covers.
From 1948 to 1979 there were numerous loan book publishers in West Germany whose books were offered in special loan libraries.
The offer consisted of western, adventure, crime and romance, but also science fiction novels (although the term was not yet adopted widely).

Main features:

This plugin supports getting titles, authors, tags, release date, publisher, comments, series, series index and cover.
The title, author, release date, publisher, series, series index and cover are stored in the corresponding metadata fields of calibre
The remaining information is partly saved as keywords and / or in the comment.

Since most of the books in the SF-Leihbuch DB do not have an ISBN, the plugin defines an "SFLDB-ID" which corresponds to the primary key of the book table.
In contrast to the "Internet Speculative Fiction Database" (http://www.isfdb.org/), no distinction is made between title and publication.

Lines with links to the SF-Leihbuch website are inserted at the end of the comments field.

Searching for metadata is a two-step process:
1. The plugin checks the IDs field for an SFLDB ID and, if available, switches to the associated book page to access metadata.
2. If no SFLDB ID is specified, the plug-in searches the database using the tokens in the title field as a keyword (title or blurb).

The Author field is currently not used. Since the database is not very large (around 1,500 books), a search with (partial) titles does not produce too many hits.
Note: The SF-Leihbuch DB interface also allows you to search for publisher, year, series, translator and graphic designer. Since calibre only provides title and author as search terms, these searches are not supported by the plugin. If desired, a keyword-driven search in the title field (for example: "Year:1958") could be implemented.

Limitations:
------------
- Only the year of publication is provided by the database. The publication date is therefore set to January 1st of this year.
- Since a metadata plug-in cannot fill user-defined fields, candidates for these fields are saved line by line in the comment (e.g. "translator: Walter Ernsting").
- If a book contains more than one cover picture, the first one will be selected during bulk download. This should be the original cover.
