An article from the unofficial Kindle blog has noted that Sony seems to be closing out its current generation of readers. New readers on the way?

No, it may be the end for Sony's stand-alone e-readers as their Tablets S1 and S2 are about to hit the shelves next month.

Given that they've already pretty much announced that they're coming out with a new gen, they bring out a new gen every fall, and in July they asked for a 45 day privacy window with the FCC over a submission that appears to be ebook related, then I would say, yes. New readers soon

I think access is in this case a verb and not a proper noun.

If it will really turn out to be a 10" tablet, it's not a replacement for a 6" device.

Definitely... especially as the article goes on to say the name of the tablet will be "Sony Tablet S" It's clearly using access as in you can access the following otherwise the sentence doesn't make sense... the word is capitalised because it is the first word in the sentence, usual practice...

they arent. the first of the new line is already at the fcc

Doesn't seem much of a sale? I have seen them cheaper at Walmart and Futureshop for unrefurbished ones

I have a depressing suspicion that the 2x5.5" clamshell 'TabletS2' might be their replacement for the current line of pocketable readers, but I really hope I'm wrong.
