Question PDF copy of Kahlil Gibran's The Prophet?
I've found lots of etext files and home-made .pdf files of The Prophet on the Internet, but I haven't been able to find a .pdf copy of the 1923 edition, presumably, because it's still under copyright in the US. (It's in the Public Domain pretty much anywhere else.)

If you only need it to proofread against, must it be specifically the 1923 edition?
OpenLibrary has several later editions available, AND the 1923 edition of the original Arabic: https://openlibrary.org/search?q=Kah..._fulltext=true

They don't have any 1923 translated edition though.

Unlike his earlier works, this book was originally published in English and I'd like to create an ebook that matches the Knopf editions.
(It was translated into Arabic in 1968 by fellow Lebanese writer and translator Yusuf al-Khal.)

OOPS sorry, I did not look closely enough -- it is a 1929 translation to Yiddish (I only looked at the search titles listing), sorry about that!
