Setting title and date for a news ebook downloaded through calibre
Is there a way to set a date and title of an ebook from a recipe? Now the date is set to the current date, even if one downloads news that was issued a few days back (this is especially confusing when you download a few old issues in a row - it would be easy to fetch the current day from the web but I do not know how to apply it to the mobi file's metadata).

conversion_options allows you to pass options to the conversion system during recipe creation. IIRC that will allow you to set pubdate though not the date added field.

Thanks, that worked!
(for anyone stumbling upond this, when you try to update the values from a method like parse_index(), you need to set self.conversion_options and self.title, the key for date in conversion_options is 'pubkey' and it translates the string "24/12/2016" as December 12 2016, I am not sure if this is locale dependent or not). |
