Anything is possible. I haven't had a lot of luck with their products; I had both a Samsung monitor and cell phone where the screens failed within two years.

Well, I haven't had many Samsung products (a TV, a printer, a phone), but so far all of them work flawlessly. I guess you're bound to have some lemons though.

Not likely given Apple's bankroll, but quite possibly in a decade or so. I think it's evident from the lawsuits that Apple is feeling backed into a corner and without Jobs, they definitely are headed in a negative direction. IMO!

Personally, I don't think that even if Steve Jobs were alive, he could save them. These days, few remember that Steve Jobs nearly drove the company into the ditch in the old days. His focus and indeed sometimes his genius was all about finding a niche that others had ignored or not seen and pushing it for all it was worth, but at the end of the run, he didn't know when to change gears. Overall, I think Apple will still be making a lot of sales but not all the sales for the next five years. It will do well but just not be the world beater. Then when folks realize that the stock will not go up anymore they will start selling and it will drop to ordinary "good stock" levels. The products will sell but will become just another good product, and then we shall see what Apple's new management is really made of. |

Apple has not taken down Microsoft, MS is still King. I Samsung will not take down Apple either they will still stay strong. What's more they will all be relevant and work in the same space.
The true victor is HTML, Java, and Web standards. Technologies that allows for complicated solution while being platform agnostic. These tools are going to allow everyone to integrate with each other and not tie you to a platform like the old days. =X= |

No doubt about it. The two in a row just disappointed me. I really liked the phone, and I thought my eyesight was going when the monitor failed.

Albert Einstein hates Samsung. Or else the 5lb. bust of Einstein was just drunk the night it came crashing down on my Samsung monitor.

That's true until MS can pick another standard to kill, once it destroys the traditional BIOS and non-secure EFI.

Apple doesn't give a hoot about market share, they are after profit share. By that metric, the competition has a very long way to go to catch up.
