Medscape: failed fetch news

Hi all,
I am new to this forum, so please be patient/kind with this newbie...
I searched for the one problem I am experiencing, and as Murphy's Law would dictate, it is a biggie for me. I subscribe to this medical information service calle Medscape and when Calibre was younger, my username and login worked fine - but then one day it simply stopped with the message:
Failed: fetch news from medscape

I know I am not using the latest version of this fantastic e-reader manager, but I am a supporter and I tried to update numerous times, but it never solved this one particular problem.

The username and password are correct in Calibre for Medscape

I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas?

You are 20 versions of Calibre back. You should Update and try again.

Sites do change, calibre gets updated fairly quickly once things broken get reported.

Error 500 is being sent back.That means the server could not serve the page for some reason.

I updated to the latest, but alas the same error returns. Yes, I am afraid the recipe is in need of seasoning - thank you for the honor of your reply, Krittika. Amazing product.
