Mantano issue on Lynx T68
I love the Mantano reading app (I have the paid premium version) due to the ease in navigating. Highlights, dictionary lookups (personal lexicon), bookmarks, TOC, all via a side-swipe from anywhere in a book, and the book page stays in view with the side-navigator open.
HOWEVER. It looks like all pages have each line of text broken (the right side shifted slightly lower than the left side) along a diagonal (botton left to top right) across the page. Do any other Lynx owners who also use any of the Mantano apps also have this issue? If others have the same issue, I will submit a support request to the vendor; if I am the only one, I guess the issue would be with the hardware of my unit. Here are some pictures - forgive the poor quality: Last edited by jafmaw; 10-06-2014 at 10:25 PM. Reason: Reduced size of image previously not in compliance with site guidelines |

If its ONLY the Mantano app & the same file works fine with other readers, then Mantano is somehow behaving badly.

I saw that problem as well when I tested Mantano.

Have you tried a different font in case that font doesn't work properly?

I have submitted a support request, maybe there is something easy I can do to resolve it. Really, it is only a minor annoyance, not enough to make me stop using it. |

Yes. I have the same problem. And I also have Pro version.
I told about it sometime ago on Mantano's thread... I've been playing with apps for a time and I think it could be due to the background. Not 100% sure, but... I tried to contact them to see if they could be interested in changing UI colours and disable page turn animations, but... |

Because page turn animations can be disabled via Settings (from any opened ebook), and UI colors can be customized via Theme (also from any opened ebook) - I created my own theme, with white background and black text. Unfortunately, even that does not correct the line placement issue. |

Yes, I have the last one. Sorry, I was referring to turn page and what I wanted to say was "refresh". It would be nice if could refresh the screen every "x" pages. And as I told before that "thing" happening with the text could be due to the background setting. You can change the colours, but you can not chage the image on the right side of the screen that emulates the pages of a book. |

Any advances on this? Mantano issue is the only thing preventing me to buy the T68.
Regards! |

If you mean what I think you mean, you can disable this in the options (should be named "show pages in epub" or something like that). It is in the reading options, not in the theme one.

I've tried enabling and dissabling "show page image border on EPUB files" but nothing happens. This app is great, it respects all my CSS code, but that line crossing the screen makes it unuseable for me... It even happens with images, so my guess is that this has something to do with rendering... and dissabling the EPUB3 rendering engine does nothing. No matter what option I choose none of them seem to work... |

Mantano used to work fine on the T68. See this post in a thread of what works on eink android.

Of all the apps I've tested Mantano is the only one that has that issue with pages. Animations can be disabled easely, but the issue with the line crossing the screen remains no matter what I choose in settings...

Skoobe
There is another one which I'm aware of, Skoobe which is perhaps only of interest for german readers. For this app the problem was fixed with an update around august, 12th (according to the german board lesen.net).
