Hi,
I'm a newbie using ubuntu and have downloaded the Calibre code which I pasted into terminal. But what do I do now? Loads of code downloaded and I then pressed return, but there's no sign of calibre anywhere. Do I have to do something else?
Sorry to be so thick.

Tried that. This is what happens:
janicescott@janicescott-laptop:~$ calibre
bash: calibre: command not found
janicescott@janicescott-laptop:~$

I must have done something wrong - or failed to do something - after downloading. I just returned and closed the terminal. Presumably that doesn't save it?

Install the binary version, not the ubuntu version, that is easier to get working
