For a Reader of CBR CBZ Files I'd recommend ComicRack.
I'm waiting a week until deciding whether to buy the Vox.

Well the paper instructions to get started need to be a little more detailed since the manual is a hike to get to, but thankfully someone posted it online so that helped.

I love the kobo vox and was prepared for glitches and a learning curve since this is an entirely new product. As long as they continue updates that address customer concerns and customer service holds up, it's a good buy. As long as people remember this is an e-reader with perks not a $200 fancy ipad that is.

Incidentally, anyone else here notice the USB Storage Mode icon for the Android Droid got a Kobo shirt to wear? That was a nice touch.

Unless I do this forced reset, the system won't turn back on.
I have experienced the exact same issue several times in the past few days. It is annoying and hopefully others report this issue and Kobo fixes it.

Bummer! It is annoying. (And I only had like two apps downloaded, so it wasn't that the machine was over-taxed). I ended up returning my Vox that did this and got a new one. I am SO thankful I did. New one is PERFECT and hasn't done this once!

Good luck!

One update to note - if I never load the Kobo app, Be it from the dock or touching a book on the Mosaic, I never have a freezing issue. Whether the wifi is on or off.

But if I use that app, then a freeze will occur once the screen goes off, no matter the wifi status. I went three days without a lockup until today. The only change was the Kobo app, which has frozen while reading Kobo-purchased books.

Maybe James and his team should investigate that angle - it's kind of ironic if it's the main app behind the device causing problems.
