ePup to mobi: text looks gray on device
Hi there,
This is my first post on the forums and I'm using Calibre 1.10.0 for Windows. After converting epub file to mobi format and transferring to Kindle paperwhite, text on the screen looks gray instead of black, that is, with much less contrast. What could be wrong? Thanks in advance, -Ed |

Check the ePub and see if there is any color codes in the CSS that's casing the text to be displayed in a gray color. If so, remove them and convert again.

The Wolfman has the most likely answer. There is a color code applied (or font-weight less than normal )
Another possibility is the embedded font under-performs on different screens |

Thanks!
Thanks a lot! I "exploded" the book with Calibre, changed the color codes in the CSS files to black and rebuilt the book. After that, I converted again and sent to Kindle. Problem solved.
