Ectaco adds three new colors to Jetbook lineup
While we're sure some folks were just fine with Ectaco's burgundy colored Jetbook e-reader, the company is looking out for those who like their e-book devices a bit more conservative looking. Ectaco is now offering up its 5-inch LCD-based Jetbook device in burgundy, white, gray, and graphite; but aside from the hues, everything else looks to be staying the same.

Personally, I've always liked the JetBook but the lack of DRM support (prefer eReader) has never allowed me to hit the Order" button.

The JetBook's lack of decent software is going to do it no favors at all.

All agreed. I think Fictionwise should get with Jetbook and help them port eReader. Also, Jetbook is already using the Foxit mobile reader, they should update the firmware to the new version that supports reflowing PDF files... then the device could really compete!

All it would take is them getting Fictionwise on board (to port eReader) for them to have a more compelling (as in a reason to purchase) device. Everything I've seen and read about the device would make me a happy owner IF it had a major e-book retailer natively installed. |
