Metadata not updating?

I'm using Moon+ Reader Pro and I'm having problems with metadata. I've updated all my metadata the way I want it and everything looks fine in calibre. But when I transfer to the reader app, there are wrong covers, tags I've never used, and/or missing descriptions. I'm sending to device wirelessly and I thought that meant all my info would be updated. I'm not sure what to do. I do know that with epub, there's a "modify ePub" plugin you're supposed to use. Is there something similar for mobi?
