Talking YAY! Got my nook today!
Thank you for the suggestions everyone and help with my questions. My hubby let me buy a nook today at BB! Now I just have to go find a cover for it (on amazon since I have a gc)

I've already played with it, sideloaded a few including a library download, caught some free content off of bn.com and gotten all the software updates. YAY!!!

Congrats! I also received a Nook today from the Hubby and loving it so far. It's a big improvement over my ebookwise , though I am still adjusting to the flash of the e-ink and the lack of backlighting.

My previous device was also an ebookwise. I am loving the e-ink screen. I hated the button placement on the nook but was able to change it after doing a soft root. Hopefully B&N will release a software update allowing to easily remap these buttons.
