Languages That Can Be Used
Hello,
I have the first Kindle DX model(not the black one, but the white) and I want to know which languages I can use to do some Kindle hacking. I know C/C++ very well, but I don't want to use them. So, there is any alternative? Best Regards, Nathan Paulino Campos |

I saw the announcement too, but it would work on my Kindle DX with 2.5.4?

The KDK has been available since FW 2.4, so, yes.
If you want to do things the hard way, you can pretty much do anything you want, provided you kill the framework beforehand and handle the screen & input yourself. (ie. the FW 3.x browser uses DirectFB, and there's a QtE port somewhere here, and the duokan 'fw' is a bunch of C & shell tools). Last edited by NiLuJe; 11-09-2010 at 04:55 PM. |
