My Kindle Oasis 2019 is read only for all files somehow?
I have tried the terminal to change the read only permissions to read and write. Both within the kindle (terminal) and on my Linux distro (Ubuntu).
I have tried chmod and though it acts as if it has succeed the files are still read only. I have even tried regular old sudo to no avail. Can someone help me? Thank you.

Yes, I also have connected to WiFi and my date and time is correct. I am not registered. Do I need to be registered? I also forgot to mention my kindle is jailbreaked and is running kual.
