Never heard of them (but could they be located locally to me? since that's my county and a family name?) LOL!

edited to add: their website will start in feb 2011, it seems, so perhaps it is so new a company that few have dealt with them, yet.

Have a look at their domain whois. The contact information for their domain is "your editor". That right there makes them look like one of those companies whose target market is writers, not bookstores or buyers. A vanity press, in other words, and the kind of vanity press whose interest in a book stops the minute the writer's check clears.

Also, their admin info is a hosting company. When a company tries to hide like that, I get very paranoid about what kind of company they actually are. What do they have to hide?

The domain name was registered back in October. What have they been doing with it for the past few months? They should have had a working website up and ready to go shortly afterward, not "coming soon".

I'm not sure what they're up to, but I know I wouldn't give them anything I wanted to keep, money first and foremost, until they prove there's some there there.
