Future Kindle Paperwhite?

I'm looking to get a new e-reader with backlighting. I did buy a Kobo Aura HD and was blown away by the screen quality. Unfortunately it locked up and would not reboot and I returned it. I was very unimpressed with Kobo customer support and felt that the build quality was lacking on the Aura HD. Kindle Paperwhite is another option. I got a bit spoiled by the Aura HD screen and would love it if there was a Kindle that used the same screen. Has anyone heard any rumors of what Amazon is working on? I wouldn't mind waiting a couple of months if I could get an Amazon product with a similar screen.

Perhaps read the following threads:

The "tl;dr" version is that nobody knows.

Also, apparently they are front lit (not back lit).

As are all illuminated eInk screens, for the simple reason that the screen is completely opaque.
