book cover art sources
what do folks use when calibre's fetch cover fails to deliver. ?

( sometimes it cannot find cover art, even with a valid ISBN.)

Amazon have taken to putting "look inside" onto many of their cover images & I'd rather not be seeing that in the Calibre pictures, so that vetoes getting the missing images from Amazon.

Google Images with author last name, partial title and sometimes adding the word "cover" to the search. I use various Greasemonkey relinker and autopager scripts for Google Images to get quick direct access to the images, not the thumbnails

The Fantastic Fiction website is very good for covers (and synopsis) for novels. You can just drag-and-drop a cover from there.

Goodreads.com have covers for many separate editions of a book, not just the ones being sold on, say, Amazon. Some of the older covers are real pieces of art.
