That's OK, the affiliate that got them early last time (or at least, one of them... I think...) is showing up now as no update available

Here is what I know has changed in 3.3.0:
The one problem I am seeing is that the Gothic font has lost italics and bold in epubs. That might just be me, but it is on both my Glo and Touch This is based on my notes during the beta process. There is usually something that I have missed. The above is the official stuff. There is a very interesting hidden change. Add the following lines to the config file: Code:

Thanks, davidfor. I don't know what hapless, giggling idiots like me (who nevertheless love their Kobos) would do without dedicated power users like you. I'm not being sarcastic; I am genuinely grateful.

Question about 3.3.0
After installing 3.3.0 on an Aura HD, it appears that the FullScreenReading does pretty much what it says. No header, no footer, fill the screen with text or images.
However, when I tried to do a screen capture, the Aura HD did not go into sleep when I toggled the power button but neither could I find the screen capture file. Regards, David |

How long does it usually take for kobo to finish rolling out the updates to all regions?
And what does this mean when this is the affiliate code: [General]affiliate=Kobo I was expecting the name of the store and the country initial based on the given above... |

That's interesting, cause I bought mine from the official retailer of Kobo in our country. It's even listed on Kobo's website. But anyway, I guess I'll just wait for the official update. I'm really scared to sideload it.

My usual question: Does the new firmware have any effect on the "not recognizing SD-card"-issue at booting?

Just used DNSB's link in Murg's Direct Links to Kobo Firmware (page 57 until Murg posts it on the front page) thread without a hitch.
I don't know if it's the particular lighting I'm in at the moment, but my Glo with light on and book open seems clearer, the font has better definition or something. I'm using 'document default'. Maybe there's no change and I'm just seeing it differently in this light. Anyway as a new version all seems to be doing what it should be doing. For info, I have only Calibre side loaded non DRM Epubs on the device, never have wifi connected or enabled, and don't have an SD card in. So I'm probably not what the regular user does and my info may not reflect your own experiences. |
