Are there keyboard shortcuts for highlighting & de-highlighting

I wonder whether there are keyboard shortcuts to highlight & de-highlight text. Since these two functions are frequently used, it'd more convenient to use shortcuts.

For highlighting, currently, I need to go through 3 steps:

select the text,
click "highlight selection",
type "ctrl + enter" to highlight it.

Ideally, step 2 could be replaced by a shortcut. Or even better, another shortcut could replace step 2 and step 3 together.

And a keyboard shortcut for "remove this highlight" is also appreciated.

There is a quick highlight button you can add to the popup bar in the viewer preferences under selection behavior. It will create the highlight in a single click using the last used highlight style. So all you need to do is select and then click once.

As for deleting a highlight, could there be a keyboard shortcut assigned for it? It's intuitive to hit Delete button to do so.

Hi guys, I just upgraded to 5.16 and found the keyboard shortcut for deleting a highlight doesn't work anymore. If I were right, the shortcut should still be Delete key.

That was a regression fixed in the next release.
