Best Buy has new 950 for sale???

Just noticed that BB has listed new 950's for sale @ $199. Does anyone know if Sony is making new ones? Does not say refurb. on their site.

Nice find. That's not a bad price either. I bet some 950 fans will be snagging one of these.

Sony's not still making them, but it's not uncommon for someplace like BestBuy to still have old stock in their warehouse. I doubt they have many of them.

They must be refurbs--don't you think? Sony's website says they are not available.

I'd guess they are new (if they were refurbs I think they'd be labeled that way or sold through CowBoom instead of BB.com). It Sony hasn't had them for a long time now, but it wasn't that long ago that you could still walk into a BestBuy and find them new on the shelf (some stores may still have some in store). Once Sony drops a product from their lineup THEY may stop selling it, but there are usually still a number of unsold units out in the marketplace.
