Fond memories when I was at university and working for the student newspaper as a photographer. That was when I got hooked on typography. The printer used Linotypes for the text and then we had fun pasting up the pages before photographing them for the offset press. I still have my Canadian Linotype line gauge hanging on the wall (aka pica stick, em ruler, etc.). It is also a great back scratcher!

You buy a nook now and it won't have hyphenation. So that lets that out.

Heh. I'd be ecstatic to have a device without hyphenation. Unfortunately Nooks have other faults, so I'm not going to buy another Nook.

OMG! No hyphenation! LOL. The first time I read this I had to go get my Nook to check. Sure enough, no hyphenation. I hadn't even noticed. Apparently, that is not a deal breaker.
