Investors believe in e-books

Content delivery platform company LibreDigital closed a USD 15 million Series B funding round led by new investor Triangle Peak Partners and existing investor Adams Capital Management. LibreDigital works with publishers such as HarperCollins, Hachette Book Group, Simon & Schuster and Wiley, and many newspaper publishers, to help them deliver their content across a range of digital channels, including e-book readers, search engines, online stores and mobile devices. With the new funds, LibreDigital plans to expand marketing and development of its digital platform.

“As eReaders and mobile devices continue to be adopted by consumers, demand for books & newspapers in digital formats is out-pacing supply – making it one of the fastest-growing and most exciting areas in the media and entertainment industry,” said David Pesikoff, Co-Founding Partner of Triangle Peak Partners. Adams Capital Management expects the ebook and e-editions market to exceed USD 2 million by 2012.
