Nope. I just installed the Connect Software, created a Connect account, and authorized the Reader, and bang, there it was.

Now I wish it was more complicated, so that I could offer some suggestion....

Say, you did tell the software that you were "in the U.S." when it asked, didn't you?

At first not but then it just gave a message that you can't register outside the US. After that I just ticked the box and all was fine. So there is no other option than to tick the box.
