The Shannara Chronicles are coming soon.
MTV will put The Shannara Chronicles, a Fantasy series by Terry Brooks on as a TV Series very soon. Already they have had 1 special. See Youtube.
This Spring will see The Mortal Instruments, the Shannara Chronicles, and The Expanse on TV. I like it! Sci Fi and Fantasy are my favorites. Surely someone will pick up Dresden again. |

I think I'm going to wait and see. I'm definitely interested though.

I watched the pilot episode of Shannara there and I'm not sure what I think of the show honestly, I didn't dislike it but it did seem like it was made more for teenagers.
As for the expanse show I keep seeing certain posters running around Reddit trying desperately to make people think it's the best Sci Fi show ever with the best effects ever but personally I didn't like the books much and I can't get into the show because the audios actually terrible enough I can't even make out the dialogue. |

Here is the pilot and some info:
http://tvseriesfinale.com/tv-show/th...isodes-online/ I enjoyed it. Does seem geared toward teens, that was not unexpected as it is being shown on MTV. I thought they had plenty of story shoved into the premier, you almost need to watch it twice to take it all in. Fast-paced, not a bad start to the series. Purists who love the books may not be happy with it, but all things considered I think they did well. Edit: you will need cable TV credentials to get episodes 3-4 from MTV. |

Really wanted to like it, but couldn't. Not because of the deviations from the source material--I'm OK with that. The acting and the dialogue is just not doing anything for me. *shrug*
