Access to Calibre server works fine locally and on the LAN with the internal IP address. I'm trying to set this up so I can use web access while I'm vacation next week. When I enter my new URL associated with my external IP address, it won't load. Any suggestions?

You probably will need to forward a port to an internal IP address / port combination.

Yep, I use my public IP with a dns service and have set up port forwarding on my router. I can ping the IP address and have used a port checker to see if the port is open. Everything looks fine, bu when I enter either my dns name or my public ip : port,
the message says it can't find the server. The folder for calibre library is shared. What else should I check? |
