Matthew Mather: Killed in MVA

Such a sad business. Apparently Matthew died in a car accident on September 13th. I'm in shock, even shed a tear. He was my favourite author and in the throes of a second volume of a new Trilogy. It's a massive loss of an all round nice guy.

From the facebook announcement:
Quote:
It is with profound sadness that the family and friends of Matthew Mather announce that he was tragically taken from us in a car accident on September 13.
Matt was a beloved science fiction author, husband, father, brother, son and friend. He was a warm, loyal and generous man who loved and lived life to the fullest. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and will live on in his books and children. He was a proud papa to Charlotte and Jack and a loving husband to Julie. He also leaves behind his mother Julie, brother Justin (Jen), sister Sarah (Ernie) and dearly loved nephews and nieces.
A service celebrating his life will be held on September 30, 2022.

Sorry to hear it. Car accidents cut so many lives short.

This is very sad. I have only read one of his books so far - Cyberstorm. I enjoyed it, and have several more of his books on my to be read list.

Young. Mid-50's. Rest in peace, Matthew Mather.
