Barnes and Noble, Sterling Publishing, Nook books
So last weekend I went to B&N. It was the first time I'd been to one in a while Unlike reports I heard elsewhere, their Nook counter was still front and center with displays of the various Nook e-readers and tablets.
Anyway, I went over to the bargain books section and there were lots of interesting anthologies put out by their in-house Sterling publishing. Mainly collections of PD stuff, edited by Stefan Dziemianowicz. I tried looking several of them up on the Nook app and they weren't available. I'm likely reading too much into it, but it felt typical of B&N that they didn't bother to have their own publisher put out editions for their own e-reader. |

Looking at the B&N website it seems most of them went out of print long before the nook was released and are being sold by 3rd-party sellers. It makes sense that the remainders are now in the bargain section.

That last one would be a good read.
I have a couple of the PD ebook editions they used to give out and they were as go i d as the Delphi omnibusses. But yes, it is B&N and it is business as usual that Sterling doesn't support Nook (even if a $3 ebook edition would generate more profit that a dead tree pulp edition) just as it is that B&N discounts don't apply to Nook. "Forget it Jake. It's B&N." |

These have separate nook listings. Some have several being PD and all.
