How to remove this symbol � from a Epub document to be sent to a Kind

1. Open Calibre.

2. Download your chosen Epub book to your PC

3. Add the book to your Calibre

4. Right click on the book you want to remove the � from.

5 In the Editor select TEXT all of the index files together (to get all of the book)

6. use FIND and search for � in the text

7. Use the replace but don't add anything the box (leave it blank)

8. Select "replace all" and the � symbol should be removed from all the text.

9. Save ....you may need to save it as a copy.

10. Go back to calibre and use the "Modify Epub" plugin.

11. Finally send it to your Kindle Email address and it should not long have � in the text.

It's better to fix the font / coding in calibre. The � means something is wrong and not recognised. Either due to wrong character set encoding or wrong font.
