Device not recognized
Hello!
I am hoping someone can help me try and fix this (it is disappointing to spend so much then have it not work). Here's the problem. I am using Win7 x64, PRS-300 At first I tried to get the eBook Library program working. I installed it and tried to run it. Didn't work. Luckily someone on these boards suggested to just run it in compatibility mode. It now runs fine. I can connect to the store and my computer is registered. The problem is that when I connect the reader the eBook Library simply doesn't register that it is there. All that happens is windows pops up 'USB Device Not Recognized'. Any suggestions? What I've tried: -Reinstalling the software -Restarting my computer -Restarting my reader -Clearing the memory of my reader -Running both XP and Vista compatibility mode on the software Please help! |

Wow.
Solved. If anyone else has this problem... try using a different USB cable than the one provided. I tried this 2 minutes after posting (look at the post times!) and it worked. So if all else fails, try some other cable. Needless to say now I'm excited!!! Last edited by Traclo; 09-10-2009 at 01:12 PM. Reason: Grammar |
