I got here a little late I guess.
But I'll nominate: The Princess Bride by William Goldman Inkmesh search Spoiler:
I didn't live through the Eighty's but I've probably seen the Movie a few dozen hundred times. Last edited by The Terminator; 03-21-2012 at 06:17 PM. |

Inconceivable! Thanks.
Being late to the nominations I thought most users would have used them all up. Last edited by The Terminator; 03-22-2012 at 12:48 AM. |

I do not think inconceivable means what you think it means. I have never read the book, but that is a great film. |

My second nomination:
Idle Thoughts Of An Idle Fellow by Jerome K. Jerome Inkmesh search Spoiler:
I've never read anything from this author, and seeing that Three Men In a Boat has already been read, this sounded pretty good. And I think I'll save my last nomination for a second or third. |

If The Princess Bride wasn't already over the line, I would have swooped in and spent a nomination. That is a truly awesome film and I've always wondered what the book would be like.
Otherwise - I'm not so good with the humour genre. I'll sit on the sidelines and see what happens. |

I guess the definition of funny is subjective. To some satire is funny. The nice thing is that one persons definition does not rule. If three people would categorize something as funny, and it has been determined to be satire, I guess it should qualify for the month of April.

Personally I wouldn't read anything by L Ron Hubbard if you held my feet to the fire, but the diversity of taste is what makes these things so interesting in these polls.

I read the entire ten book Invasion Earth series by Hubbard and quite enjoyed it and found it very funny and quite obviously satirical.
