Scriblings are not stored in root disk space. They are stored separately in files which are placed in subfolder, that is in folder where the documet is placed.

But annotations and some other stuff are stored in root disk space.

Hi, I have a black pearl onyx boox M92 and until a few weeks ago I had the 20131129 firmware and everything worked well. Then I installed the firmware 20131204 curiosity but I have encountered problems in web navigation . Some sites such as " MBasic facebook" do not open. Now I want to go back to the 20131129 firmware but doing the normal procedure tells me that there is no update. I have the software on the PC mfg tool but do not know how to use it . How can I go back to the original firmware 20131129 ?
I use the device to surf the internet and after installing the firmware 20131204 MBasic facebook site (the version of facebook with simplified graphic ) opened , but after a few days no more . Now I want to go back to 20131129 but I do not know how to do. I'm Italian and sorry for my english .

Thanks so much !

Hi, I'm not sure but you'll probably have to use the mfgtool program. I don't know more details. Search the forum for mfgtool and you'll find some posts

Hiding hyphenation

Hello, is there any way of hiding hyphenation in the new PDF Reader when reading an epub?
In the old version of the PDF Reader, the text always appears justified but in the new one I haven't found the way of hiding the hyphens, even modifying the epub file with Jutoh. Thanks.

The updatefile 'UPD 20131204.ZIP' can be applied to the M92 black edition,
and how about to the M92 black 'pearl' edition?
I have done it with mfgtool. And I am using Obuntu now.

Guys, I installed the firmware 20131204 and after a few days I too failed to load some websites, such as " MBasic facebook" . Now I want to go back to the original firmware 20131129 but performing the classic procedure for updating the device says "update not found" . I always hear about this mfg tool but I can not understand how to use it . I have read the instructions , plugged the device in service mode , click the Start button and waited for the completion of the procedure, but the firmware is still the 20131204. How to reinstall the firmware 20131129 with the mfg tool ? Thank you so much , I'm desperate , help me !!!

How do I tell mfg tool that I want to install the firmware 20131129 ?

Hello , the procedure to apply is this: I turn off the device , start the software mfg tool, connect the device to the pc with usb, I press the "minus" button and the " Power " and put the device in service mode .... .... when the software detects the device I click on start . The software makes the operations that last for a few minutes and you're done I press the stop button . I turn on the device but I find that the firmware has not changed , remained the 20131204 , the only difference is that they are the new icons VCOM outputs , aging test , the waveform do not know what they mean. Thanks !!!

I suppose that after this operation (mfg tools) you could try to install the new firmware.

SSL not working anymore...

Sorry for the cross post, but I suspect that I shall get a better take-up for the old M92 here, on this particular request:

If I could get just one or two M92 user to confirm/deny that they can load SSL pages, It would help me a lot.

Cheers!

Guys, I know that this model is old news by now, but it being a new year and all, and I still have the problem...

Could just one or two of you - assuming anyone still follows this thread - please find 5 seconds and try this for me?
I desperately need to know if I am the only one with the problem!

I just need to know if SSL pages (i.e. HTTPS, ex. 'https://www.google.com') still works for you, on the M92 with Booxtors latest f/w.

Cheers!
CJ

I have the older firmware from July 2013 not the last one from December.
But perhaps I could check it at home?
