I did find the article rather humourous when they stated there would not be an uSD card slot as the "the company has scaled back on expandable memory in a bid to get customers to purchase more ebooks". Interesting to contemplate how a reduction in storage would cause people to buy more ebooks.

Typical of that website. They either make up stuff completely or just make a wild stab in the dark at some vague rumour they've heard, or they take news from other sites or forums and claim it as their own while adding their own 'insight' to make it different. The insight is clearly all their own work.

the point i was making should have been obvious to all but evidently not. so i will explain just for you and for whoever else might not have grasped it.

Kindle have 4 models, Basic, Paperwhite. Voyage and Oasis, do we agree so far? the only one out of those 4 that has had a revamp is the Paperwhite up to 3, do we still agree? after that the Voyage and the Oasis are both completely new devices with new physical functions hence my comment.

btw. your right about Microsoft they did get lazy after windows 7 but not before, and the only Apple's i have are the one's off of tree's.

I always thought the same. Until I got the One. But that one at least doesn't have the generic 4Gb space. So, I've changed my view: either not a lof of space on the device (4Gb or less) and a mandatory SD card slot, or a lot of space on the device itself (8Gb or more).

Not sure if this means two samples, each with adifferent brand of storage, or one device with double storage.

I thinks this also means non removable storage, and no external SD card.

The test report stated the Sandisk had the worst spurious emission, it seems to suggest there is one eMMC in the device though given the language used read like a Google translate, that could be argued.
