Stop automatically connecting to device?

Is there a setting to stop calibre from connecting automatically to my reader if the latter is plugged in?

(I try to not plug it in while calibre is running, but sometimes I forget.)

Cool additional related question

in the same vein as the op's question. is there a way to reconnect the device after ejecting it other than un-plugging and then re-plugging the device?

You can disable the interface plugin for your reader in order to prevent Calibre from automatically connecting. However, then you won't be able to connect to the device at all except through the folder device.

Huh, I never thought of looking at the plugins. Thanks! That's good enough for me.
