It works very well on my Clie, as long as my battery holds out using the WLAN.

I hope other sites follow this format in the future, as it's much more pleasant, and much faster loading than the full version (at least under Netfront).

"Free", and requires a mandatory login. I think "teh Intarweb" is trying to redefine what the word "free" means.

MobileRead is a free service, yet to post it requires registration (except in General Chat, IIRC). Which posting is also a free service.

In my opinion it's not free (when there's still no money needed) when they force you to give up personal information (i.e. snail mail confirmation of registration, or telephone confirmation - forcing you to give real, full info). As long as you don't have to give 100% correct information, it's free in my mind.

No, this is not intended for offline reading, in general. It's intended for PDAs or phones with a net connection, to go there instead of the full Register site (as the mobile version will load much faster that the full one, and will look nicer).
