CBR Converting Error

Can anybody help?

Got a couple of CBR's I'm trying to convert and keep getting various errors.

Latest one is;

Well the error seems quite clear - it is saying that it is not a RAR format flle! I have seen files with a CBR extension that were really CBZ (zip) format files, so it could be worth renaming it and seeing if that helps. It is also possoble that the CBR fle is simply corrupted in some way.

Thanks for that...I had to extract the files and archive them as a ZIP file and rename it as a CBZ

Glad to hear that you have got things sorted.

However I guess that raises the question as if the CBR file was a valid RAR archive (which is what it should be for a CBR file) that Calibre did not think that it was. The fact you were able to extract the contents implies that it can not have been a corrupt file. Did you try the rename solution in case it was just incorrectly named? Many reader apps that handle both CBR and CBZ file types will look at the contents and ignore the file extension so that you get away with a file that should have a CBZ extension incorrectly having a CBR one.
