[Request] Go 6 firmware link.
I would like to root my unit and I found out that I need to get a firmware link to do that. My unit is currently on 2025-02-11_23-36_v4.0-beta4_a390c414ef and unfortunately the method on https://github.com/Hagb/decryptBooxUpdateUpx doesn't work for beta. I would like to have a stable or beta firmware link

To get a beta link you need to get the MAC of someone who is subscribed to the beta release channel. That could be you.

Is it possible to see upcoming new Onyx Boox models through the usual update or beta channels? Perhaps through some system information on their servers? For example, the new Onyx Boox Page 2.

I see you have a Go6 in Bio, and I assume you’re running a stable firmware. Is there no way to generate a download link with your current stable firmware?

I don't have anything stock. I'd have to figure out what I modified.

Yeah, we have a link for the international Go6 beta 4 now.
And I have a custom recovery with update function. I'll try to update my Go6 then I can release the recovery. |

Ok, I managed to install the Go6 beta 4 on my Go6 using my autoupdate and I can go back to the book that I was just reading.
Of course it wiped my system modifications. I'll have to see how easily my build system can fix that. Oh, one difference I noticed immediately. They are downplaying "Onyx" and "Boox" appears on the splash screen. I still have skating elephants (for now). Edit: I got things working with my modified rooted system but I have to run it as permissive for now until I find out what changed. I have it running enforced now. If you install this, keep a lookout for time zone screwups. I had to set my region from where I really am to a specific UTC offset because it thought it was summer time?
