Doesn't seem to work on PW5 with 5.14.2
KUAL v2.7.26 doesn't seem to work on Kindle PW5 with 5.14.2, is there a version that targets this device?

1. Jailbroke Kindle using https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=346037
2. Extracted mrpi into root of kindle
3. Put Update_KUALBooklet_v2.7.26_install.bin in mrpackages folders
4. Ran ;log mrpi
5. Error in logfile /Kindle/extensions/MRInstaller/log ...

That's because it's the wrong file, you want the coplate variant.

Take a look at whether you are in "Downloaded" or "All" mode. On mine it only shows a Kual icon in one of them.

I have a KOA3 with Firmware version 5.14.2.

It is jailbroken; I put the KUAL-KDK-2.0.azw2 file in the documents folder and nothing appears in my kindle; it should appear some KUAL button right?

What am I doing wrong?

I did it again with MRPI and nothing; it seemed to be installing, because it appeared like a cube and some text messages after using the command in the kindle search bar but my library keeps being the same, no KUAL option.

You need to use (install using MRPI / ";log mrpi" search bar command) "coplate" variant of KUAL booklet version, from the Snapshots thread:

Can KUAL be installed on Kindle 3G Keyboard FW 3.1?
Hi,

I've already installed MKK (Mobileread Kindle Kit [kindle-mkk-20141129-r18833.tar.xz]) on my Kindle 3G Keyboard with firmware v3.1

Can I install KUAL?

The orig post says: "If your device is older, use the KUAL-KDK-1.0.azw2 file."

But in the snapshots link, there is no KUAL-KDK-1.0.azw2 file, there is only:

I got a "the permissions to open the requested title have an invalid date" error on K3G keyboard FW3.1 when I tried to open KUAL, but it worked after "menu...settings...menu...restart" Hopefully it still works tomorrow

That usually implies the date/time on your device is wonky (which usually happens after a flat battery).

Get it to sync time over network, or use the settime/setdate (can never remember which actually exists) script.

For a PW5, that would be https://github.com/NiLuJe/KUAL_Booklet, but ideally any change should work on the earlier KDK2 & KDK1 builds, too...

The dev env is going to be... trickier. You're going to need a few jars from (ideally) older FW 5.x releases.

Then again... Looking at my lib/ folder for the coplate variant, it's... empty, so maybe not for that one? .
