Free (Kindle) Disciple of a Dark God by Edmund Glasby [Grimdark Satire Quest Fantasy]

Disciple of a Dark God: A Grimdark Assassin's Tale by British author Edmund Glasby (ISFDB, Fantastic Fiction) is the 1st novel in his The Daemondamned Trilogy of grimdark epic fantasy adventures which are apparently using that appellation satirically, since Amazon also slots it under the Humour category, this installment starring the obligatory cynical assassin cultist zealot serving the evil god who enabled his thirst for revenge, becoming even more disillusioned by the depths to which he has manipulated on some quest adventure for a magical McGuffin, free for a limited time courtesy of publisher Endeavour Press' Venture imprint.

This was originally published by the author himself in 2010 via Matador, a self-publishing helper imprint according to ISFDB, and carries a new frontmatter copyright date of 2017, possibly indicating significant revisions since then.

Currently free @ Amazon (available to Canadians & in the UK and pretty much everywhere else Amazon sells worldwide, since this is being done via their KDP Select exclusive-or-else program)

Description
Assassin, cultist, zealot; Everus Dragonbanner’s sole aim in life is to serve Xethorn — the evil god who enabled him to exact revenge on those who destroyed his life.

Satiated, but forever bitter, Everus does whatever is required by the high priest, and more importantly by his god who contacts him directly. Stalking through his unsavoury, grotesque, dark and dangerous world and accompanied by a grave robbing thief — who has his own agenda — he seeks the magical wards which will allow Xethorn to regain His supremacy.

Arrogant, charismatic and cold-hearted, Everus begins to realise that even his cynical view of people is not dark enough, as he eventually discovers the true extent to which he has been manipulated.

The Daemondamned Trilogy is a grimdark fantasy epic in which good is not pitched against evil, love does not triumph and loyalty is not rewarded.

Everus Dragonbanner?

What is it with these strange-sounding names? Uhh?

Why not just have a character with the name of 'Bob'?

--- Got it!

Thank you!
